MapleStory Classic Fighter Build

Independent fan guide · Updated October 24, 2026

Fighter second-job planning for levels 30–70: sword or axe, a checked SP endpoint, Rage, Rush and a practical equipment checklist.

Fighter build: where to start

Choose sword or axe before allocating weapon-specific SP. Keep Power Strike and Slash Blast as your main attacks while developing Mastery, Rage and movement. This is a dated community build reference, not a measured best-in-slot ranking.

Choose your specialization

Sword and axe use separate Mastery, Booster and Final Attack skills. One-handed and two-handed weapons within the same family share those skills. Pick the family you can equip and maintain before committing points.

This selected endpoint uses 120 of 121 second-job SP at level 70, leaving one unassigned. Do not count that spare point as another first-job point.

The community opening takes Rush at 30, then Rage 1 and matching Mastery 2 at 31. Mastery 5 unlocks the matching Booster. This is an opening checkpoint, not a complete per-level allocation.

Keep a written record of your current points, target points and unspent budget. This table is an endpoint reference; it does not validate prerequisite order or apply changes to a character.

Skill decisions and version traps

At maximum level, Rage adds 40 Attack Power and removes 40 Weapon Defense for 300 seconds. Rush is a second-job skill in Classic World; Power Guard belongs to the later Crusader book. Older Warrior templates can therefore put skills in the wrong job.

AP and equipment checklist

Favor STR; add DEX against your next equipment requirement or a demonstrated accuracy shortfall, counting bonuses from usable gear.

Before buyingWrite down the weapon family, usable level and total DEX requirement. Price the whole change, including any shield.
Before allocatingCompare the skills already learned with the matching weapon column. A new weapon purchase should not silently invalidate old SP.
Before moving mapsMeasure misses, time spent grouping and recovery alongside EXP. A stronger hit alone does not establish a better route.

Choose a sustainable training route

Use the existing training candidates as places to test, then compare a complete session. Keep duration, party setup and supplies comparable. Record earned EXP, potion spending and interruptions before deciding to move. A first attempt with an unfinished build can justify keeping your previous map.

Good questions, quick answers.

Should I split sword and axe skills?

The selected endpoint specializes in one family. Check the cost of switching before splitting weapon-specific points.

Does second-job SP repair my first-job build?

No. The community reference treats the job SP pools separately. Review the Warrior first-job plan before advancing.
