Compare full training sessions using earned EXP, elapsed time and recovery costs before estimating your next level.

## Record a complete sample

Write down start EXP, end EXP and elapsed minutes. If the sample crosses a level, include the EXP needed to finish the old level before adding the new bar. Count normal travel and recovery rather than timing only active attacks.

## Compare two routes fairly

| Record | Route A | Route B |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Sample length | Use the same duration | Use the same duration |
| EXP gained | Record credited EXP | Record credited EXP |
| Supply cost | Include potions and ammunition | Include potions and ammunition |
| Interruptions | Travel, deaths, waiting | Travel, deaths, waiting |

Use the route that meets your current goal. A faster route can consume more supplies; a slower one can leave a better reserve for the next trip. Neither result establishes a universal ranking.

## Calculate your rate

Hourly EXP = credited EXP ÷ elapsed minutes × 60. Time left = remaining EXP ÷ hourly EXP. For a party quest, include party formation, failed starts and the return trip in elapsed time.

## Good questions, quick answers.

### Should I add a party bonus again?
No. If you measured the EXP credited to your character, that measurement already includes its applicable modifiers.

### Why did my estimate change?
Your equipment, party, route, interruptions or target mix may have changed. Take a new comparable sample.

### Are the calculator inputs uploaded?
No. The calculation runs in the browser, and anonymous analytics excludes those input values.

## Method & privacy

This page explains an editorial sampling method. The linked calculator uses your browser inputs; it does not upload them or supply a measured class or map ranking.
